For K-8 classes, the report cards have a section for Work Habits and Social Development. These standards are attached to the homeroom classes so each homeroom teacher will need to enter grades for these standards. There are two methods shown below and each should have the same final result but the first method is simpler.
Method 1
Add Standards Grades
- Log in to PowerTeacher Pro and go to your homeroom class
- On the left side of the screen click Grading -> Standards:
- Enter the standards grades (M, A, N) for each student:
Add Homeroom Comments
From this screen, you can also enter the comments for your homeroom class.
Method 2
Creating the Assignment
- Log in to PowerTeacher Pro and go to your homeroom class
- On the top right, click the Plus icon (+) and Assignment:
- Make sure you have selected the Homeroom, name the assignment Work Habits and Social Development or similar, change the category to Summative, make the due date the last day of the trimester, and make it worth 10 points:
- Switch to the Standards tab and select the box for Auto-Calculate Assignment Standards Scores and select all the standards:
- Switch to the Publish tab and change Publish Assignment to One Due Date and click Save and Close:
Entering Grades
- On the left side of the screen click Grading -> Assignment List and click on the assignment you just created:
- You will notice that there is a single column for the score and a column for each standard we attached. The easiest way to enter the grades is to start with an autofill for all the standards and scores. To do this click the first student's score:
- In the score inspector on the right side of the screen enter a score of 10 and click the button to Fill Up/Down:
- A dialog should appear saying you entered grades for all the students:
- And you will see that all the scores and standards now have a grade filled in:
- Make any changes needed to individual standard grades for your students
- Click Save on the bottom right when are done entering grades
Video Directions
The Diocese has video directions that go over the same process as well as an alternative way to enter them by entering them under Grading -> Standards: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-zVOriOcX5aAL1q4_QKFsm_2MIuZVhHa/view
