By default, all the Putnam lockers have a combination set to 0-0-0-0. Please change the combination to something unique for your classroom to prevent the students from locking you out and gaining access when they should not.

Changing the Combination

Using the Key
If you are locked out, each classroom has a key for the lockers. The key has a laminated tag with the room number and a picture of the Putnam locker. Insert the key and turn the handle to open.
Resetting the Combination
If you are locked out and do not know the combination:
- Unlock the locker with your key
- Using a light, look into the oval hole on the back of the lock
- Inside, there are four holes, one for each dial. Rotate each dial until you see a small groove through the hole
- That is the correct number for that dial
- Repeat for each dial
- Change the combination using the instructions above
