Scenes can be used to lock students in a certain website.  This can be useful for classroom testing to prevent them from looking up answers.

Directions

  1. Log in at teacher.goguardian.com and click the button on the left called Scenes:
  2. Under Allowed Website List click Create List:
  3. Give it a name, description, and color and click Next:
  4. Type in the URL for the testing website (riversideonlinetest.com for IOWA/CogAT tests) and click Search.  Find the website in the list of options and click Add next to it:
  5. The website will appear in the list on the right.  You can choose to have it Auto-Open and limit students to a certain number of tabs.  Auto-Open will usually make it easier for students to get to the correct website in your class.  Click Save when you are done:
  6. Click on Classrooms on the left side of your screen and start the class like normal:
  7. On the right side of the screen click on No scene applied and select the scene you just made:
  8. No scene applied will change to the name of the scene you applied such as IOWA Testing.  When all the students are finished with the test click the button that says Disable Scene:
