Big Sur introduced Control Center next to the date/time on the top of your Mac's screen. Some controls that were their own menu before are now consolidated there.
Through Control Center
- To connect to your iPad with Sidecar, open the Control Center menu:
- Choose Display:
- And select the device to connect to:
Through System Preferences
There are usually more than one way to accomplish the same task. It is usually more helpful to understand what you are doing than to memorize the steps since they frequently change!
- To connect through System Preferences open the Sidecar preference pane:
- And select your device in the Connect to dropdown:
