Open the class and click Grade Setup on the left
Next to Categories click Weight Categories and then click + Add
Make two categories called Formative and Summative
Do not change Calculated by to Percent. Leave it as Total pts!
Weight Formative at 10 and Summative at 90
Under Grading Periods & Final Weights make sure the current year and all trimesters are selected
Make sure the Weight is set to 100 for each Trimester and the Year
Under Final Grade Settings set Gradebook Scale to Numeric and click Save Changes
Click Powerschool on the left and click Configuration at the top
- Check the box that says Automatically shorten assignment title
- Map the Formative and Summative Schoology categories to the first two options in PowerSchool for Formative and Summative and click Save Changes
